Over 100 runners to join fund raising event

MIRI: More than 100 runners are expected to fill the streets from the Malaysian Ex-Police Association Miri branch premises in Piasau Camp up to Sarawak Shell Berhad roundabout on Feb 26 to help the association raise money.

The 7km fun run is scheduled to kick off at 7 am and is divided into four categories, namely Men’s Open (aged 12-40); Women’s open (aged 22 to 40); Men’s Veteran (aged 40 and above) and Women’s veteran (aged 40 and above).

According to the association chairman Abang Bolhassan Abang Rabaie, the registration entries are currently open until tomorrow (Feb 18).

First place winner of the event will receive a cash prize of RM300, second (RM200); third (RM100) while fourth and fifth RM50 each. All winners will also receive certificates.

The entry forms can also be obtained at the association’s office in Piasau Camp from 2 pm to 5 pm or at My Team Sport Wear.
