KUCHING: More than a thousand attendees joined the “Seven-Year Townhall Session with YAB Premier” which took place at The Hikmah Exchange Event Centre here last night.
Despite the heavy downpour, attendees packed the Satok Ballroom to listen and engage with what was an informative and entertaining session.
The event was attended by delegates from the state Cabinet and heads of department at both state and federal levels.
Notably, a significant portion of the audience comprised individuals, aged 18 to 40, encompassing students, young CEOs, working professionals, and representatives from youth associations and non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
In addition, participants from institutions of higher learning (IPTA/IPTS) and persons with disabilities (OKU) were also in attendance.
The town hall discussion delved into topics such as “Sarawak 2030: Sustainable Leadership” and “Sarawak Maju Makmur,” moderated by TV host Sayed Munawar with co moderators political analyst Professor Datuk Dr Sivamurugan Pandian and entrepreneur Mona Abdul Manap.
Moreover, the townhall session was aired live on TVS Channel 122 MYTV, Unifi TV and Astro, as well as New Sarawak Tribune and Suara Sarawak Facebook page.
For the record, under Abang Johari’s stewardship, Sarawak has become a regional powerhouse.
His administration’s Sarawak Post COVID-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030 and the Sarawak Digital Economy Blueprint are pivotal in positioning the region for a digitally empowered future.
