SRI AMAN: A total of 1,029 residents here received their second vaccine dose at the Dewan Suarah Sri Aman PPV (vaccination centre) today.
Sri Aman information Department (JaPen) reported that the vaccination programme went smoothly with the help of 70 staff from the Sri Aman Divisional Health Department, Myvac volunteers, Rela, Civil Defence Force (APM) and police.
Dewan Suarah Sri Aman PPV’s Dr Amin Shamsudin said the recipients included youths, the elderly and also people with disabilities (PwDs).
He advised those yet to receive the vaccine to go directly to the PPV as long as they are 18 years old and above.
Meanwhile, an PwD recipient, Siah Suring, 53, from Rumah Ringgit, Ibol expressed his relief.
Majeng Linggang, 68, of Selepong Lop was also delighted to get his second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
He urged the public to get vaccinated immediately to protect themselves and others.
For Ehay Tek Hua, 57, from Temudok, he was excited to complete his doses and hoped that it would help reduce the risk of Covid-19 infection as well as protect those around him.
