SIBU: Some 1,500 packs of ‘bubur lambuk’ (porridge) were distributed to the public here in a Rukun Tetangga (RT) programme on Monday (April 25).
The programme was organised by the Department of National Unity and Integration (JPNI).
The RTs involved were RT Jeriah as the host, RT Taman Soon Hup, RT Bougenvilla, RT Persiaran Brooke and RT Jalan Awang Ramli Amit.
It also received cooperation from Sibu Youth and Sports Department, Koperasi Belia Berhad, Brothers 8 Familia and Side Streetz Garage Enterpise.
Also present were Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development Dr Annuar Rapaee and Sibu Division unity officer Siti Nur Fatimah Hussen.
Earlier, JPNI deputy director-general of operations Zulkifli Hashim disclosed that the programme was held simultaneously nationwide and participated by 3,000 RTs.
