KUCHING: The Kenyalang International Invitational tenpin bowling tournament will be held at Megalanes Sarawak, E-Mart Batu Kawa here from June 24 to 26.
Some 210 players from 10 countries would be taking part, said Deputy Minister for Youth, Sport and Entrepreneur Development, Datuk Gerald Rentap Jabu.
“The countries are Singapore, Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Ireland, the United Kingdom and Hong Kong.
“Several states such as Sabah, Selangor, Johor, Kuala Lumpur and Sarawak will also send their Sukma (Malaysia Games) 2022 players,” he said at a press conference here.
According to him, the tournament, organised by Sarawak Amateur Bowling Association (ABAS) together with Sarawak Sports Corporation (SSC), would have the Open category and the Youth category.
“The Youth category is divided into four groups, namely under-12, under-15, under-8 and under-21.”
