KUCHING: More than 250 people comprising teachers and community leaders from Kampung Muara Tebas, Kampung Gobielt and Bako attended a crime prevention talk held at SMK Bako here yesterday morning.
The talk was organised by the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of SMK Bako.
Sub-Inspector Simon Low from Kuching District Police Headquarters, who was the speaker of the day, delivered a talk on crime prevention at schools and how to tackle problematic students and those involved in crime.
He urged the teachers and community leaders to work together with the police in their effort to fight crime in their respective areas.
As for crime occurring at schools, Low advised the teachers to lodge police reports so that prompt action can be taken.
