KANOWIT: Over 40 Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) projects have been listed for the Ngemah constituency this year.
Ngemah assemblyman Anyi Jana said that the projects would be implemented after a meeting between the Sibu Resident Office and the implementing agencies.
“In 2022, there were over 30 RTP projects in the area. Some have been completed while others are still under construction,” he said in his speech when presenting the Minor Rural Projects (MRP) grant Phase 3/2023 for Ngemah at Kanowit District Office recently.
Anyi said that for Phase 3/2023, a total of RM824,000 had been allocated.
“A total of 93 recipients, including representatives from the Village Development and Security Committees (JKKK), Parent-Teacher Associations (PTA), associations/clubs/non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and flood relief recipients in the Ngemah have received the cheques,” he said.
Anyi stressed on the importance of transparency in the financial utilisation of an organisation.
“The allocation should be used prudently and with careful planning to avoid wastage,” he added.
Also present were the Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) Ngemah branch deputy chairman Ramba Resang and others.
