KUCHING: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Youth Kuching Zone slaughtered 14 cows during the Qurban Armada PBB Kuching in conjunction with Aidiladha at Masjid Al-Taqwa, Kpg Pinang Jawa here, yesterday.
The ceremony was officiated at by Tupong Assemblyman, Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman who represented Minister of Works, Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.
“Congratulations to PBB Youth for holding this Qurban (sacrificial) activity successfully. The meaning of sacrifice was shown by the participants who were willing to sacrifice their time, energy and money to have 14 cows for this ‘Qurban’ ceremony,” said Fazzrudin.
The event organised by PBB youth Kuching Zone, involving 11 branches was participated by more than 600 members of PBB Youth.
Instead of giving the sacrificial meat to the selected asnaf (needy) in 11 PBB branches, the meat were also given the needy who came to the event.
The event also helped to strengthen ties between members of PBB Youth.
