MIRI: A man was cleaning the compound of his house in Shiang Shiang Garden here when he spotted a one-metre long snake slithering on the floor.
Fearing for his safety, the 41-year-old man immediately grabbed his handphone and called the Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) for help at 7pm on Wednesday.
Three APM personnel rushed to the location and helped to capture the snake in less than 15 minutes.
According to the house owner, it was the first time such an incident happened and he thanked the APM personnel for their swift response.
