KUCHING: Wastewater management company Sar-Alam Indah Sdn Bhd has again come out in support of the upcoming Padawan River Raft Safari 2024 by providing a total of RM20,000 in sponsorship.

Its director Abang Zulkarnain Openg said it is to show its continuous commitment to preserving clean rivers and promoting environmental sustainability.

“Our rivers are vital to our communities, serving as sources of drinking water and supporting industries like agriculture, ecotourism and manufacturing.

“The River Raft Safari provides a unique opportunity to highlight the importance of clean rivers and promote sustainable practices”, he said after handing over the cheque to Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) chairman Tan Kai at its building here today (Oct 7).

Tan expressed his appreciation for Sar-Alam’s generous support, highlighting its importance for the successful execution of the Raft Safari event.

“The Padawan Raft Safari 2024 is more than just an adventure.

“It is a landmark event that showcases the splendour of our rivers and a call to action to each and every individual to safeguard our rivers.

“Therefore, we invite the public to join us in experiencing the beauty of Padawan’s waters,” he said.

The 21st edition of Padawan Raft Safari 2024 is set to take place on Oct 20.

The annual event aims to showcase the region’s commitment to community development, environmental stewardship, and most importantly the Padawan Municipal Council’s (MPP) growth.

Sar Alam, a wastewater management company, has been at the forefront of municipal wastewater management, ensuring the safe treatment of domestic septic sludge.

Through effective municipal wastewater treatment, Sar- Alam helps to complete the water cycle and prevent river pollution caused by untreated sewage, safeguarding aquatic life, promoting environmental sustainability and contributing to a healthier ecosystem.
