KUCHING: Pahang Regent Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah graced the state banquet hosted at a prominent hotel here yesterday (Jan 16).
Before the banquet, Tengku Hassanal granted an audience to Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg in the Reception Room of the hotel at 8 pm.
Accompanying the Premier during the audience were Deputy Premiers Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan and Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian.
Also present were chairman of Enggang Group Sdn Bhd and advisor for Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) to the Regent Datuk Seri Muthanna Abdullah; Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah; Minister of Food Industry, Commodity, and Regional Development Datuk Seri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom; and State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki.
The state banquet, which attracted 400 invited guests, was held in conjunction with Tengku Hassanal’s five-day visit to Kuching. It showcased captivating performances of ethnic songs and dances set to traditional music, organised by the Sarawak Arts Council.
