KUCHING: The Painted Cave at Niah National Park, Miri reopened yesterday (Jan 15) to the public following its temporary closure since Jan 13.

Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) said the park’s management had taken swift action in repairing the damaged plankwalks.

Previously, it was inaccessible due to damaged plankwalks from Gan Kira to Painted Cave (approximately 3.5km from Park Headquarters), which were caused by a fallen wood.

“Visitors’ safety remains our top priority and we look forward to welcoming you back to this natural wonder.

“Stay tuned for more updates through our official channels. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation,” the statement read.
