KUCHING: Malaysia Institute of Architecture Sarawak Chapter (PAMSC) Design Forum 2017 will be held on 25 March at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) in conjunction with a three-day Building Trade Show event (from 24 to 26 March) at the same venue.
Five speakers from Bangkok, Jakarta, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Kuching will present views at the forum.
Organising chairman Ng Chee Wee disclosed this at a press conference held at PAMSC Centre at Queen’s Court here, yesterday.
The main sponsor for the forum is NS BlueScope Lysaght (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd.
This is 6th consecutive year NS BlueScope Lysaght (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd being the main sponsor for the forum, President of NS BlueScope Lysaght (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd, Lydia Toh Poi Huong told reporters.
“We recognise the importance of the role of architects in setting the right scene for new trends and pursuits in the building construction industry.
“Therefore, the presence of speakers from around the world during the Design Forum will undoubtedly pave the way for more architectural advancements and pursuits,” she said.
According to PAMSC chairman Mike Boon, other events to be held include an ARC 17 charity run on 19 March and a gala dinner on 24 March 2017.
PAMSC will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 1 April.
