KUCHING: The Sarawak government has been urged to set up a Cabinet Committee to look into the racial imbalance in the Sarawak and Federal Civil Services.
This was the motion passed during Sarawak United People’s Party’s (SUPP) 25th Triennial Delegates Conference 2022 held at the party’s headquarters today.
SUPP president Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian told a press conference after the meeting that the proposed committee would draw up strategies and guidelines in addressing the racial imbalance issues in the Sarawak and Federal Civil Services.
Meanwhile, two internal resolutions were also passed, namely, the party central would establish a Higher Education Counselling Bureau and SA’ATI Education Foundation Bureau.
“The SA’ATI Education Foundation Bureau is to help the primary, secondary and university students,” Dr Sim said.
It was also resolved that the party central would establish an Agricultural Information and Development Bureau.
