SIMUNJAN: Parents play a role as school partners in improving effectiveness and ensuring quality learning for children.

Batang Sadong MP Rodiyah Sapiee said, through the ‘Program Ibu Bapa Hebat, Anak Cemerlang SPM 2023’ parents and children who are facing the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) exams could prepare earlier while also being able to establish close cooperation between the parents and the schools.

“I don’t want the responsibility for the children’s excellence to be shouldered by the teachers alone.

“The most important thing is the involvement of parents because the success and excellence of children is the result of various support and cooperation from all parties,” she said.

She said this when speaking at the ‘Program Ibu Bapa Hebat, Anak Cemerlang SPM 2023’ at Dewan Seri Gemilang, SMK Simunjan No. 1 here today.

She added that the active involvement of parents in various school programmes could help the academic achievement of students.

“For the development of school building infrastructure, we have certain processes before approving a project or application.

“Therefore, I want the school that goes through the Simunjan District Education Office to send all the detailed information about the application so that it can be submitted to the relevant parties such as the Department of Public Works and the Department of Irrigation and Drainage so that they can go to the field to conduct an inspection on those buildings,” she explained.
