KUANTAN: Kuantan MP Fuziah Salleh feels the turmoil over the appointment of the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) State Leadership Council (MPN) chairman would not crop up if every member understood and respected the party constitution.
She said the appointment of the MPN was only decided by the PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim after meeting all division heads and party leadership.
‘’These conflicts or talks will not crop up if we understand the party constitution, the problem now is that statements are being made as if the selection was made based on certain factors and not due to the support of the leadership and grassroots members.
“To me, these are all discordant voices and do not affect the focus to carry out the trust given by the president. I regard them as a challenge which must be faced.
“I shall carry out my work normally because in our struggle, we work for the people, and not just for posts,’’ she said at a media conference after launching the Back To School ceremony jointly organised by the office of the Kuantan Member of Parliament, Kelab Prihatin Kuantan and MBS World, here yesterday.
On Wednesday, Paya Besar PKR division chief Albakri Salim issued a media statement urging the party leadership to reconsider the appointment of Fuziah as Pahang MPN chief, alleging that the appointment was made without the backing of division heads in the state. – Bernama
