KUCHING: Batu Kitang assemblyman Lo Khere Chiang lauded Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg’s recent decision for Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) to be in the federal Cabinet.
He said with the move made by Abang Johari, nine GPS leaders were now in the new Federal Cabinet line-up to fight for the state’s rights.
Lo added that it was a delight to know that Muhyiddin had agreed to three conditions set by Abang Johari and GPS. They were: 1) To the respect Malaysia Agreement 1963; 2) To give back the oil and gas rights to the state; 3) The state will not join Perikatan Nasional (PN) but will support Muhyiddin as prime minister and he will also support and respect the state.
“I believe the new Minister of Public Works (Senior Minister, Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof) will bring more projects to the state, and not cut costs.
“I also believe that our state leaders will take care of Sarawak well in the Parliament,” he told reporters after the school supply donation presentation ceremony here at SK Jalan Haji Baki yesterday.
Lo also stressed that the people should support Abang Johari and GPS to continue what had been mentioned and promised by Muhyiddin.
“Sarawak first, Utamakan Sarawak,” he said.
