PAKAN: Pakan assemblyman, Tan Sri William Mawan Ikom has commended community leaders in his constituency for supporting programmes implemented by government agencies and departments.
He said their participation in such programmes would enable them to understand government development plans better.
They could then share their knowledge with longhouse or village residents under their care.
Such programmes, he added, could also enhance unity among the agencies and participants.
Mawan was speaking at the Sepakat@Komuniti Programme 2020 entitled “Cultivating the New Normal to Break the Covid-19 Chain” organised by Pakan District information Department (JaPen) at Rumah Andrew Buja, Sungai Rintong, Pedanum here on Wednesday.
The assemblyman also advised the people to adhere to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) set by the government to contain the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.
