BINTULU: A mother’s love leads to heaven is one of the expressions that is often heard when expressing love for a person who is called mother.
Whatever names this special person is called, be it mama, emak, bonda, ibu, umi, or mummy, their kindness in taking care of their children is invaluable. There is nothing more precious than a mother’s unconditional love.
On that basis, Tanjong Batu assemblyman Johnny Pang Leong Ming distributed carnation flowers to mothers and women at Farley Food Court, Medan Jaya here in conjunction with the Mother’s Day celebration on Sunday.
A total of 1,000 carnation flowers were distributed as a token of gratitude to the mothers for their invaluable sacrifices and services.
Pang, when met, said Mother’s Day is a form of appreciation to women for their role, dedication and contribution to family, community, nation and country.
“The commemoration of Mother’s Day, especially for women, is not only to express gratitude for the special services of mothers. But more than that, it is to encourage all stakeholders and society to pay attention and acknowledge the importance of the existence of women in various sectors.
SUPP Bintulu Branch chairman described the theme of ‘Thank You Mother’ of the 2024 National Mother’s Day celebrations as very significant to show appreciation to mothers who are the pillars of a family’s well-being.
Thus, he encouraged the people to always appreciate the sacrifices and services given by people with the title of mother.
“For those of us who still have mothers, take care of them with love. Be devoted to them while you have the chance because after their departure there is nothing you can express except through prayer,” he said.
