DARO: The Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Daro branch together with its Women and Youth wings has launched its machinery for the upcoming 15th general election (GE15).
PBB Daro branch chief, Safiee Ahmad, who officiated at the event yesterday, said the party would ensure it would win the Igan parliamentary seat for Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS).
The Daro assemblyman stressed that party members at every level need to be prepared for GE15, streamline the party machinery and increase the spirit of working as a team.
“Everyone must work together to defend Sarawak’s rights under the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).
“GPS’s big victory in GE-15 is very important for the political stability of the country as well as strengthen Sarawak’s voice and struggle in the Dewan Rakyat,” he said.
GPS (PBB) is expected to face off with Pakatan Harapan which has indicated that a candidate from its coalition – Parti Amanah, in the Igan constituency.
