KUCHING: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) leaders and members have been reminded to be always sensitive to the needs and expectations of the people.

“The trust the people have given us is a great mandate, and we must fulfill it with full responsibility and dedication,” said Pantai Damai assemblyman, Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi.

“Our struggle must be based on values of justice, progress, and prosperity for all segments of society, regardless of background or social status.

“The effectiveness of our party is not only measured by election results or political support but also by our efforts to improve the lives of the community,” he said.

Dr Abdul Rahman who is Deputy Minister of Utility and Telecommunication gave the reminder at the opening of the PBB Pandai Damai Branch general meeting which was officiated by State Legislative Assembly (DUN) Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) on Sunday (Oct 27).

“Therefore, I urge us to continue providing space and opportunities for young people to play an active role, bringing fresh and innovative ideas that can drive the party’s progress forward.”

He also told members to be aware that new challenges will continue to emerge, especially with the rapidly advancing technological, social, and economic changes.

“Therefore, we must always be prepared and responsive to these changes, so that we can ensure PBB remains the people’s primary choice, not only for the present but also for future generations.

“PBB must continue to lead in development, ensuring job opportunities are available, infrastructure continues to be improved, and the welfare of the people remains protected,” he said.
