KUCHING: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) plays an important role as a catalyst to improve the livelihood of the Bumiputera.
In stating this, Sarikei MP Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii said the political party, which is part of Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) coalition is capable of looking after the fate of Bumiputera in the field of politics, economics, and social.
“I am very grateful to the PBB committee and party members for always being united and moving as a team.
“I realise that it is not an easy task to maintain a party like PBB without commitment and dedication. Congratulations and well done to PBB,” he said.
This was said during the Hari Raya open house event held at Kampung Selemas Hall in Bintangor on Saturday (Apr 29).
Huang, who is also the Deputy Natural Resources, Environment, and Climate Change Minister said Sarawakians should be grateful to have the state led by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
“We (GPS), are committed to implement development and also defend the rights of the people and the interests of Sarawak. May all our efforts strengthen the progress and prosperity of Sarawak,” he said.
On the Hari Raya open house event, he said, it is an opportunity for people irrespective of race and religion to gather and foster closer ties with each other.
“Unity and cooperation is very important as it can help us to carry out our daily tasks in a peaceful manner,” he said.
