KUCHING: Federal Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri has revealed that Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) will be amending its constitution at its Triennial General Meeting (TGM) in June.
This move is to enable its new wing for youth aged 18 to 28 to be set up.
According to a news report by Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) yesterday, Nancy, who is also the PBB Women vice chief, wants the youth to work together with the government to help develop the state and its people.
“As a dynamic party that always listens to the aspirations of the young ones, Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) wants the young people to be involved in the development of the state and ensure it achieves its target.
“Therefore, the young people from aged 18 onwards need to be involved,” she said when speaking at the Simunjan frontliner team retreat programme and dinner virtually on Friday.
“As a whole, PBB, and Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) are youth-friendly parties,” she said.
Also present was Simunjan assemblyman Awla Dris.
