MIRI: Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak Baru (PBDSB) has come out in support of Pakatan Harapan helming the federal government.
This is view of the basic understanding of the Westminster parliamentary democracy and the provision of the Federal Constitution, where the party with the biggest number has the right to form the government, said its president Bobby William.
“We will respect whoever the new Prime Minister is, as long he is appointed in accordance to the process of democracy,” he said in a statement on Today.
He also hoped the new Prime Minister will care for the minority Dayak people in Malaysia, be inclusive in nation building and fair in dealing with all aspects of the economy and social status.
On another note, PBDSB, he said, accepted the people’s choice and thanked them for the support it received in the just concluded general election.
“We assure you that we will come back again in the next election either the parliamentary or the state election,” he added.
Bobby who contested in Sibuti against GPS-PBB’s Lukanisman Awang Sauni and Pakatan Harapan (PH) Zuraidah Suboh lost the three-cornered fight to Lukanisman.
