SARIKEI: Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) is committed to delivering development projects to the people as part of the Madani government, says its president Datuk Larry Sng Wei Shien.
Speaking at the ‘Ngiling Tikai’ programme at Rumah Rinya Usi, Sng stressed PBM’s role in the government’s initiatives, particularly through Projek Mesra Rakyat (PMR) and Minor Rural Project (MRP) schemes.
“PBM, as part of the government, can provide or deliver projects for the people through PMR and MRP,” he said.
Sng reiterated PBM’s unwavering support for Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s unity government and its backing of the Pakan and Meluan state assemblymen.
“PBM is always open (its door), and the PBM Julau welcomes anyone who wants to join the party,” he added.
Julau has notably benefited from an RM120,000 allocation from the All Party Parliament Group Malaysian (APPGM)-Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
This funding has been utilised for three key projects, namely the Pakan Town Youth Club (KBPP), hydroponic vegetable planting in Ruyak, and an oil palm planting and maintenance course for smallholders in Julau.
“Several longhouse projects, approved for 2023 and 2024, have already seen grants deposited directly into the accounts of their Village Development and Security Committees (JKKKs). For those who haven’t received their grants yet, rest assured that the projects are approved and underway,” Sng assured.
As a token of appreciation, RM10,000 was distributed to Rumah Rinya’s JKKK and RM3,000 to their Women’s Bureau.
Additionally, RM15,000 was allocated to Rumah Timbu for ground improvements, RM3,000 was presented to the Parents and Teachers Association (PIBG) of Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Nanga Kara for organising sports activities, and RM1,500 was allocated to the SK Nanga Pakan Pre-School.
The event highlighted PBM’s ongoing dedication to community development and support for grassroots initiatives, aligning with the broader goals of the Madani government.
