MUKAH: A community outreach programme called `Ceria Bersamamu’ that was held at Mukah Community Based Rehabilitation Centre (PDK Mukah), here yesterday.
Among the activities of the day were the mass springing up of the premises and its compound (by ‘gotong-royong’), aerobic exercises and Teachers’ Day Card making.
It was staged in conjunction with the 46th state-level Teachers Day Celebration 2017 which was centred in this fast growing town of Mukah.
The meaningful programme for the trainees at PDK Mukah was officially closed by Mukah District Education Officer Haji Bugin Haji Ragoon.
The event also saw the presentation of contribution in the form of a printer and a vacuum cleaner from Mukah District Education Office (PPD Mukah) to the centre.
This was followed by the giving away of the Teachers’ Day Celebration cards created by the trainees of PDK Mukah to the headmasters and headmistresses of the participating eight primary schools .
In his speech at the function, Bugin considered the event as the stepping stone for further collaboration between the schools in the area with PDK Mukah which is located in front of Mukah Division Fire and Rescue Department.
“This event would not be the first and last but rather the beginning of the collaboration between us especially the schools in the area with PDK Mukah. This function is very moderate but has a very significant meaning for us,” he said.
Also at the function which featured the presentation by the centre’s trainees (special children-OKU) were PDK Chairman Rapaiee Jaimin Yahya, Mukah Headmaster’s Council Chairman and Organising Chairman Borhanuddin Kaderi, PDK Mukah Supervisor Intan Bt Mohd Ini, headmasters and headmistresses as well as parents.
