SIBU: A financial aid totalling RM42,000 and a large amount of red dates were distributed by Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) Dudong service centre to several mosques and suraus in the Dudong constituency recently.
The aid was distributed in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan, according to a Facebook posting by PDP Central Region today.
Among the recipients for the financial aid were Surau Al-Ehsan Kem Junaco Park and Masjid Al-Hidayah Kem Oya, both received RM7,000 and 15 kg of red dates.
Masjid Darul Istiqamah received 15kg of dates, Masjid Al-Muhajirin (10kg), Surau Darul Ibadah Kem PGA Lanang (10kg) and Surau Al-Mubiin Kem Bumimas (15kg) respectively, together with RM5,000 financial aid each.
Additionally, Masjid Al-Anshar and Masjid Darul Husna Sibu Jaya also received RM3,000 financial aid each along with 5kg and 10kg of dates respectively, while Surau Darul Rahmah Kampung Kedada received RM2,000 and 5kg of dates.
