KUCHING: Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) has yet to submit its list of candidates who will be contesting in the 15th general election to the Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

Its secretary-general Datuk Nelson Balang Rining said that the party was still discussing the matter.

“We have not submitted the list yet. It is still with the party. We are still talking (about it),” he said.

He said this to reporters when asked on the party’s preparation for the general election during a Hari Raya Open House event organised by Pantai Damai assemblyman Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi at Waterfront Hotel on Friday (May 6).

Nelson said that the party was prepared for the election.

“All of our machinery are ready. We have more or less the same set up,” he said.

When asked if there would be any new faces, he said that PDP would leave it to the party leadership and Premier to decide.
