K-beauty retailer Peach & Lily has teamed up with fashion label Opening Ceremony on a pop-up skincare project.
The cosmetics brand, a go-to destination for US-based fans of Korean beauty products that launched its own in-house line last year, has partnered with the American fashion label founded by Carol Lim and Humberto Leon on ‘PeachXCeremony.’ The concept will see the 17 winners of the ‘2019 Best of Korean Beauty Awards’ displayed in Opening Ceremony’s Soho boutique through April 18. The two brands first teamed up last September, when they collaborated on a demo of Peach & Lily’s skincare collection and a beauty master class.
“While online shopping has its merits, much about the beauty space is about the physical experience from a soothing, moisturiser to a tingley toner,” said Peach & Lily founder Alicia Yoon. “We want to bring that curated, fun, intimate experience through this collaboration to our customers. And we’re particularly excited to be working with Opening Ceremony again as we closely identify with their vision — all items in the store go through an extensive selection process that stays true to the brand’s unique style and values.”
The move follows Peach & Lily’s announcement last month that it was expanding from 250 Ulta Beauty locations to all of the retailer’s stores nationwide.
The collaboration isn’t the only recent high-profile partnership for Opening Ceremony, which joined forces with Lacoste on a new collection of ready-to-wear sportswear. – Relaxnews
