MIRI: A pedestrian was struck and killed by a car while crossing Jalan Miri-Pujut here on early Monday morning.
Miri OCPD ACP Alexson Naga Chabu stated that the accident occurred around 3.45 am when a 46-year-old man driving along the road hit the pedestrian, who unexpectedly crossed the road.
The victim was immediately taken to Miri Hospital but succumbed to his injuries, being pronounced dead at 4.44 am. The identity of the deceased has not yet to be known.
