SERDENG: Emphasising the importance of reading the Al-Quran consistently from an early age, Tanjong Manis MP Yusuf Abdul Wahab advocated for the continuous practice of this religious discipline.

Speaking at the Khatam Al-Quran Programme organised by SK Kampung Serdeng at Masjid Darul Ikram Kampung Serdeng here on Thursday, Yusuf highlighted the integral role of Quran reading in a Muslim’s life.

“As a Muslim, it is our duty to read the Al-Quran in addition to praying five times a day,” he said.

The programme was praised by Yusuf for its positive impact on participants.

“Programmes such as this needs to be continued so that we can read and recite the Al-Quran together,” he added.

Looking to the future, Yusuf hoped for increased participation from the local community.

“I hope that one day there will be more participants from Kampung Serdeng who participate at either the village, district or division level,” he said.

The Khatam Al-Quran Programme saw participation from 15 students.
