SIBU: Mini Regatta, Ratu Kebaya and fireworks display will be some of the main attractions at Pesta Rakyat Durin.
The festival, which began on Friday (Nov 25), runs until Sunday, while a funfair held in conjunction with the festival had been on since Nov 20.
The opening ceremony will be officiated by Dudong assemblyman Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing on Saturday (Nov 26).
The closing ceremony is expected to be officiated by Deputy Minister for Public Health, Housing and Local Government, Datuk Dr Penguang Manggil, on Sunday at 6.30pm.
Among the side events are the remote-control boat competition, sepak takraw, karaoke, ngajat, darts, duck catching, colouring competition, basketball and poco-poco.
A total of 38 stalls selling various types of goods and offering exciting games can be found at the festival.
Meanwhile, to provide opportunities for residents to earn some income, a total of 17 stalls have been set up.
