KUCHING: Norashela Abdullah from Bintulu and Kuchingite Muhammad Haziq Nazir Hairozaman were crowned Miss Petite and Mister Petite 2019 respectively at the final of the pageant held at the auditorium of the Old Court House House here last Sunday night.
Norashela and Haziq beat seven other finalists on their categories for the coveted titles.
Each of them bagged cash prizes of RM2,000 each plus the championship trophy and sponsored voucher prizes worth RM1,000 presented by the ambassador of Miss & Mister Petite Sarawak 2019, Nurul Huda Sha’adi who was also one of the judges.
The night was truly magical for the newly-crowned Miss Petite 2019 as she also bagged two subsidiary titles of Miss Talent and Miss Congeniality.
Raja Nur Amalina Raja Azlan from Sri Aman came second in the Miss Petite while Jennifer Sim was third. Raja Nur went home with RM800 and a trophy as well as the subsidiary title of Darling of The Crowd. Sim received RM500 and a trophy.
Dino Randy Keni came second in the Mister Petite while Robitino Konon was third. Dino went home with RM800 and a trophy while Robitino received RM500 and a trophy.
Dino also won the Mister Best Photo in ZhaiharaZ Couture while Robitino won the subsidiary title of Mister Talent.
The top three winners of Miss Petite Sarawak 2019 will represent the state in Miss Petite Universe Malaysia 2020 which will be held in Miri in June next year.
Organised by Double Event Management, the beauty pageant contest aimed to nurture local talents among the petites in beauty pageants and the modelling industry.
