MIRI: Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd Sarawak Asset’s ‘Program Memacu Kehidupan’, held in conjunction with the Gawai Dayak celebration, has provided daily necessities to 150 families in the Miri and Bintulu areas.
Sarawak Asset head Noriani Yati Mohamad said this annual programme, held during festive seasons, is part of their community wellbeing and development initiative.
It aims to alleviate the burdens of those in need while uplifting their spirits.
“For your information, during the last Chinese New Year and Hari Raya celebrations, 210 families benefitted from this programme.
“As part of our corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, we aim to ensure a lasting positive impact on the community and a sustainable future for the communities around our operational areas.”
She said this during the ‘Ngiling Bidai Enggau Petronas’ event held at Mercure Hotel here on Thursday (June 27).
She added that the collaboration and cooperation between government agencies in past CSR activities have proven that their goals are aligned.
Both parties, she said, aim to empower various layers of the community through aid programs specifically tailored to the needs of the Sarawak community.
“Petronas is committed to empowering communities through initiatives focusing on education, wellbeing, and community development, as well as the environment.”
Additionally, Noriani also announced her official succession of Anuar Ismail as the new senior general manager for Sarawak Asset.
“After nearly a month of shouldering this responsibility, I believe our operations management is running smoothly due to the cooperation and partnership of Petronas with every government agency, both directly and indirectly,” she said.
