BINTULU: Petronas hosted the inaugural Sarawak Oil and Gas Services and Equipment (OGSE) Partners Day here recently.
It brought local vendors together for a sustainable and resilient OGSE ecosystem to drive the industry forward amid the energy transition.
According to a press statement by Petronas today (Oct 23), about 500 licensed and registered vendors had the opportunity to learn about the updated OGSE programmes and participated in networking sessions to encourage collaborations and partnerships that could enhance their competitiveness.
Petronas Head of Industry Shaping and Collaboration, Group Procurement, Syaharudin Hassan said, Petronas is committed to their ongoing efforts to improve the capability and capacity of their vendors.
“This OGSE Partners Day in Bintulu is an example of those efforts to catalyse the vendors’ growth and competency to nurture a robust OGSE ecosystem,” he said.
At the event, industry leaders and subject matter experts also shared their insights on current industry trends and best practices on matters such as vendor financing, licensing and registration, sustainability, the punchout business-to-business (B2B) marketplace and technology.
