KUCHING: In a bid to foster stronger relationships and enhance collaboration with local media, PETRONAS hosted the Ngiling Bidai Bersama Media Sarawak event’s at Kantin The Granary last night (June 21).
PETRONAS Group Strategic Relations and Communications senior general manager Siti Azlina A Latif said media engagement is crucial in understanding the complex oil and gas industry and the company’s transition to renewable energy.
As such, she expressed her gratitude for the continued support and cooperation from the media, noting the role such engagements play in Petronas’ strategic communication efforts.
“Petronas itself was a dream come true, a vision realised because of the belief and support of those around us. By paying attention to the dreams of others, we are reminded that all things are possible, together.
“We are delighted to have you here to celebrate with us tonight. Through engagements like this, we can cultivate and nurture a long-term relationship beneficial to both parties,” she said in her welcoming remarks at the event.
Highlighting Petronas’ 50th Anniversary celebrations, she detailed the company’s initiative to fulfil 50 real-life dreams across seven festivities throughout the year.
This initiative, she added, aimed at discovering diverse human experiences and making dreams come true for those in need, underscores Petronas’ commitment to community engagement and social responsibility.
The Ngiling Bidai event, marking the end of the Hari Gawai Dayak festival, was part of Petronas’ continuous efforts to build and maintain a strong rapport with the local media, ensuring a shared understanding and collaboration in communicating the company’s journey and future endeavours.
