MIRI: State government funded projects under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) for Piasau Constituency remain on track despite the Covid-19 slowdown.
This was disclosed by Piasau assemblyman Datuk Sebastian Ting on Wednesday during his visit to various locations here to inspect projects that were being carried out under his RTP.
Expressing his satisfaction with the work progress, Ting revealed he had already submitted next year’s projects (under his RTP) to the state government for approval.
“We have been going around collecting this year’s projects and submitting them to the state government for approval and implementation in 2021,” he said.
Earlier, Ting visited Kampung Luak Mosque minaret or tower which was completed in September this year.
The construction cost of the project was RM250,000.
However, there was a request by the villagers to raise the tower by four more feet.
“The extension proposal has been submitted for approval,” said Ting.
