SRI AMAN: A collision between a pick-up truck and a lorry along Jalan Sri Aman-Serian today (Jan 18), resulted in injuries to both the driver and passenger of the pick-up truck.
The accident occurring around 12.10pm in front of Puspakom Sri Aman, prompted the dispatch of firefighters from Sri Aman station after they received a distress call.
Upon arrival, the team found the pick-up truck crashed into a ditch with the 30-year-old driver still trapped inside.
Extrication works were promptly carried out to rescue the driver.
The victim, who was reported to have sustained severe injuries, was then handed over to paramedics for immediate on-site treatment.
Meanwhile, the passenger, a 29-year-old woman, sustained minor injuries but managed to exit the vehicle unassisted.
Both victims were later taken to Sri Aman Hospital for further medical attention.
On the other hand, the lorry driver and his attendant emerged unharmed from the collision.
The rescue operation concluded at 12.41pm.
