KUCHING: Pigs in Sarawak are so far free from Japanese encephalitis (JE) viral disease.
This was based on the monitoring by the Sarawak Veterinary Services Department (JPVS) on swine farms throughout the state.
However, JPVS director Dr Adrian Susin Ambud said although no JE cases had been reported, monitoring and control measures were still ongoing through the introduction and implementation of Good Plantation Practices.
He was contacted by Sarawak Voice recently to comment on the notification of suspected JE patients in Sabah recently.
