KUCHING: State Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief, Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said a woman died on the spot after the motorcycle she and her husband was riding on was rammed into by a car at Jalan Tun Abdul Rahman Yakub here, yesterday.
Alexson said the victim was travelling with her husband along Jalan Matang from Jalan Satok around 5pm when a car knocked the rear of the
motorcycle causing it to go out of control.
The pillion rider died on the spot while her husband suffered injuries to his shoulder, back and legs.
The injured husband was later taken to the
Sarawak General Hospital for treatment.
Police are investigating the case under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act, 1987.
