MUKAH: Piranhas Lutong lifted the 2017 Abdul Yakub Arbi Cup Mukah after beating Sibu Goldies in the final of the Invitational 10s rugby tournament at Mukah Polytechnic (PMU) Rugby Field, here, on Sunday.
Sibu Swans outclassed Setiaraja Swiflet Rugby Club Mukah(SSRC) to emerge as winners of the Plate category.
And in the Final Bowl, Mukah Babarians defeated PMU while Panthers beat Bintulu Rugby Club in the Final Shield.
A special officer of Balingian Constituency, Che Ghazali Arbi, who represented Balingian Assemblyman, Abdul Yakub Hajir Arbi gave away the prizes.
Other participating teams of the two-day tournament held from March 25 to 26 were Sibu Swallows, Kolej Vokasional Sibu, Saint and Curtin Crocs.
Also present at the final were PMU director, Associate Lt Col (PA) Haji Abdubrani B Yunus, Swiflet Mukah President, Faizal Jublee, PMU sports unit head, Sophian Sout, event coordinator, Tanrapijan Serkawi and SSRC the organisers of the tournament.
