KUCHING: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Saratok Branch vowed not to make any political provocations, but instead they try to unite all parties so that they can work together to help the people to face the economic challenges.
Saratok PKR Branch chief Ibil Jaya Mundat said, at the same time they always emphasised racial and national harmony regardless of political party background.
“Therefore PKR Saratok Branch is open for new members’ registration because we are determined to be more active starting next January by organising many activities in the Saratok area,
“This is one of the strategies to help the people in facing the economic challenges,” he said during the PKR Saratok Branch meeting at the Engkudu PKR Main Operations Room which was attended by 34 branch committee members.
All members were also clearly advised not to make any political statements but instead they should focus on working for the people.
He added, among other focuses, they are forming special committee members to plan strategies for the next state election.
Strictly speaking, as a result of the meeting all the committee members agreed to the restructuring of the branch committee members with the establishment of a women’s wing, the youth wing, in addition to planning in strengthening the economy.
“This follows the issues faced during the last 15th general election (GE-15), which we acknowledge the lack of machinery and funds.
“And, the meeting also accepted a motion to give 100 per cent support to Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the 10th Prime Minister,” he said.
