SIBU: A plantation supervisor was killed after the car he was driving, went out of control and crashed into a ditch along Jalan Sungai Sadit here on Sunday (Dec 6).

Sarawak Traffic Police chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said the incident happened around 12am when the victim identified as Alfred Lee Yau Run, 22, was heading towards Sungai Sadit.

Alexson said the car had reportedly gone out of control and ramped through a telecommunication pole before it landed turned turtle in a watery ditch.

The victim was later pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken by paramedics to Sibu Hospital for further actions.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
