KOTA SAMARAHAN: The practice of playing sports and maintaining a healthy lifestyle should be continued even during challenging circumstances such as the Covid-19 pandemic.

In saying this, Kota Samarahan MP Rubiah Wang added that doing so would be able to reduce the stress faced by the community, especially those who experience various obstacles due to the spread of Covid-19 within the community.

She said this when officiating at the Asajaya Community Sports Carnival 2021 closing ceremony held at the Kota Samarahan Civic Centre here on Tuesday (Jan 4).

Citing the success of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games which was held in Japan last year as an example, she pointed out that it was carried out magnificently despite being in the new norm in line with the current pandemic.

Rubiah also advised community organisations to participate actively in helping the community, especially those who are significantly impacted, experiencing difficulties, and in need of assistance during these trying times.
