MUKAH: Politeknik Mukah (PMU) conducted a visit to Politeknik Negeri Pontianak (POLNEP) from last Feb 17 to 22.
The delegation was led by the Head of the International Unit, Mohammad Fardillah Wahi, along with six lecturers in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, and trade.
“In addition, the programme’s activities aim to facilitate technical lecturer exchange, research seminars, entrepreneurship programmes, Amazing Race-Kalimantan Challenge, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at Pesantren Al-Murabbi Pontianak, Indonesia.
“All these events took place at POLNEP, Keraton Kesultanan Kadriah, Equator Monument, and handicraft shops in and around Pontianak,” PMU said in a statement today (Feb29).
In connection with this, the programme contributed to the success of the Agreed Minute of Meeting (AMM) document at Hotel Palace and Suites.
“At the same time, this cooperation involves student and lecturer exchanges, entrepreneurship programmes, research, and facilitation for collaboration with institutions in Indonesia.
“Throughout the programme’s implementation, PMU has acquired new knowledge in fish and shrimp farming, ‘pilling’ technology, and the topography of peatland for development purposes in Kalimantan, Indonesia,” it explained.
PMU also expressed appreciation to the Malaysian Consulate in Pontianak, the Indonesian Consul General in Kuching, and the Sarawak State National Security Council for assisting in launching this programme.
Therefore, PMU hopes that this programme will benefit Malaysia, especially Sarawak, in developing highly advanced and competitive human capital.
Also present were lecturer from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Samarahan Campus, Dr. Noraziah Wahi.
