KOTA SAMARAHAN: More than 3,000 people are expected to join the Poco-Poco Marathon 2024, scheduled for Feb 3, in an effort to get into the Malaysian Book Of Records.

Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (MPKS) chairman, Datuk Peter Minos, said the programme will take place at Samarahan Square, adjacent to MPKS, from 7.30am to 9am.

The goal is to have the poco-poco participation in the event recorded as the highest in the MBoR during the Mini Village Entrepreneurs Carnival (KUD) organised by the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development.

“Thus, the public is invited to participate in the programme and create history,” he said during a press conference on the event’s sponsorship handover here on Tuesday (Jan 30).

Minos added that the event, organised by MPKS in collaboration with Family Fitness and the Asajaya District Office, promises a morning filled with spirit and aims to enhance cooperation in promoting a healthy lifestyle in the community.
