KUCHING: Two local men have been arrested by police for their alleged drug abuse.
Bau district police chief DSP Poge Nyaon said that the suspects were arrested by the district headquarters narcotics police at 1.25am on Friday at an unnumbered house at Jalan Tabung, Kampung Apar.
“The duo aged 32 and 22 years old were arrested in front of the said house. On further inspection, we found a straw tube and two translucent packets containing crystalline substance believed to be syabu and estimated to weigh 0.74 gramme, in the speaker box.
The suspects were brought to the Bau District Police Headquarters for further action.
The case is being investigated under Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
