SIBU: Police are on the hunt for an Indonesian man in his 20s.
He has been on the run since raping a girl, 14, last December. The teenager is now pregnant.
The case came to light on May 6 when the girl complained of tummy ache to her mother.
“As they were walking down the staircase of their house in Durin to go to the hospital, the girl fell down and was injured on her hip,” said Sibu OCPD ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit yesterday.
At the hospital, a doctor confirmed that the girl was pregnant.
“She later admitted to her mother that she had sex for three times with the suspect in December 2018 in a hotel,” said ACP Stanley.
The girl knew the suspect in November last year as he was her mother’s colleague.
She has never gone to school and when she was 12, she stayed with her father, who has since separated from her mother.
