KAPIT: Kapit Police chief, DSP Freddy Bianhas appealed to the members of the public especially those staying along Jalan Melekun and Jalan Mujong on Nanga Mujong areas to locate an elderly man, Buda Win.
According to Freddy, the 72-year-old Iban man left his house at around 8.00am last Friday to look for jungle vegetables at a nearby jungle.
“As of today at 2.00pm, the victim hasn’t returned. His family has lodged a missing person report on Saturday. A search and rescue team comprising police personnel, Bomba, Rela and volunteers from the Rumah Gawan, Lepong Baleh, has been deployed to the scene,” he said here yesterday.
Freddy said the search was still ongoing and those who have information or know Buda’s whereabouts could contact Kapit Police Station at 084-796 222.
