Police seek public help to trace eight suspects

SRI AMAN: Sri Aman District Police Headquarters (IPD) Sri Aman yesterday appealed to public members to give information on eight suspects who are believed to be in various narcotic cases in the district.

IPD Sri Aman Head of Narcotic Criminal Investigation ASP AB Aziz Abdullah said all the eight suspects are believed to be able to help in further probes on narcotic cases in the area dating back to the whole of 2017.

Four of the main suspects involved in drugs are Jong Tze Jian, 40, from Kampung Beratok, Jalan Kuching-Serian; Chai Cheng Feng, 22, from Kapit Flat, Jalan Ban Hock, Kuching; Norman Hamdan, 38, from Kampung Muhibah, Sri Aman and Wee Chuan Hock, 54, from Kenyalang Park, Kuching.

“The other four suspects are Bunsu Mahri, 44, from Lorong Ong Ah Chin, Bau; Husaini Samsudin, 34, from Kampung Hulu, Sri Aman; Dayang Norhamizah Mohammad Sanwani, 34, from RPR Simanggang Fasa I, Sri Aman and Awangku Kusmandiria Awang Iberahim, 42, from Kampung Melayu, Engkilili.

“All these eight suspects have records of being tested positive for drugs through urine tests as well as possession of drugs. Bunsu Mahri is high on the wanted list to assist police in further investigations,” said Aziz.

He also said three of the eight suspects, namely Bunsu Mahri, Dayang Norhamizah and Awangku Kusmandiria, are believed to be in Kuching at the moment. As such public members who have any knowledge of their latest whereabouts are urged to contact him immediately at telephone number 083-323166 or 012-8051082.

“Public can also call Inspector Zainurashidah Abdullah at 083- 322121 and 014-5074551 or Sergeant Kolbe Martyn Patit at 083-322121 and 019-8436060 for the same purpose,” he said.
